Question

1P Keeps Asking To Update For A URL With Multiple Login Credentials. How Do I Stop This??

I bank at one of the major Canadian Banks.

I have personal accounts, business accounts and secure communications accounts with this bank. each of which has different login credentials (i.e., think multiple bank cards).

This means:

  1. I have 6 different sets of login credentials
  2. I use the same URL to login for each set f credentials (i.e., the bank only has one portal).
  3. Every single time I login I get the pop up messages asking me to update my login credentials *which is exceptionally annoying”.

Is there a fix for this and, if yes, what is it? I do not want to disable the message entirely because I do like being asked when I create a new account or update an account.

Look froward to your assistance and responses.

Thank you.

A second related problem, when one selects update it updates both the user name and teh password which is great excepts it writes teh wrong username (i.e., it writes the username from the default item).

I had this happen to me today and I got lock out of one of my accounts.

if this cannot be fully fixed (i.e., both items) then perhaps the Settings > Autofill & save > Offer to save logins can be re-engineered to exclude specific domains.  That, at least, would give me the “Offer to save” capability for all domains other than my bank!
