Strange thing happening that I don’t understand and can’t fix:

1)1P makes me fill in my password when I go to a website when it is already unlocked - I unlock it via the icon in the top toolbar on my Mac - but when I go to login to a website, it does not recognize that 1P is already unlocked and it forces me to input my password and I can’t use fingerprint - I must type password). Just started acting this way - why is it doing that?

2)Why do I have to turn off my ad blocker to login to the forum?

3)I wanted to attach screenshots to show what I am talking about in item 1 but I can’t figure out how to do so in this new forum.

I’ll answer your questions below:

We recently had an issue where 1Password for Safari wouldn’t unlock when you unlocked the desktop app, make sure to update the desktop app to the latest version which has the fix: How to keep 1Password up to date

If you still see an issue after updating then please let me know.

Why do I have to turn off my ad blocker to login to the forum?

Can you share details of the problem you’re experiencing when using an ad blocker? Any information you can provide, such as an error message or a screenshot, would help to investigate further.

I wanted to attach screenshots to show what I am talking about in item 1 but I can’t figure out how to do so in this new forum.

So for issue number 1 - At the time I reported it, my app was not telling me there was an update, but seems it did after a day or so and once I updated, the problem was fixed - just as you thought.

On the issue of logging in with my Ad Blocker on, further tests revealed the following: If the Ad Blocker is on, when I sign in, the screen then indicates that I am not logged in - it looks the same as attached screenshot 1 - however, if I then click the “create topic” button, it will show I am in fact logged in as shown in screenshot 2. If I have Ad Block turned off, it then immediately shows that I am logged in - just as screenshot 2 shows. So it appears that it does log me in regardless of the status of the Ad Blocker - I just have to go through one more step to “see” I am logged in when Ad Block is on. Very Strange but at least it is working.

I’m glad that you’re no longer seeing the filling issue after updating!

The adblocker issue is quite strange, thank you for sharing those screenshots. I see that you’ve opened a support ticket with our team and I’ve looped in our community team to take a look. They’ll reach out to you via email soon.
