1P Passkeys broken on https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step

In short: Using the new 1Password beta + Safari extension beta.

Adding a new passkey on https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step asks an additional question, which breaks 1P's ability to register a passcode.

Hey @Ryan_Parman, I'm sorry that we did not reply sooner. I created an account and visited the URL that you shared but did not see anything about https://support.1password.com/save-use-passkeys/. Here's a screenshot of what appears at the URL for me: https://share.cleanshot.com/Q1Xv8vxx

Just to check, are you running into an issue with setting up two-factor authentication on Wordpress.com? What steps are you taking? Is your 2fa code not filling?

It appears to have been fixed in the most recent update to the 1Password extension for Safari beta (from TestFlight).

WordPress.com supports passkeys for 2FA. I already had a TOTP set up, but registering a "security key" (software passkey) was causing an issue in the initial release of the 1Password extension for Safari beta.
