Question

1P X not good at capturing logins like old extension did.....

The extension that was based on the desktop app was much better at capturing the username / password / checkboxes of the login page.

But now that you have moved exclusively to 1Password X, the New Login capture (or update existing login) is not very robust. Case in point, I recently went to login to https://accounts.wondershare.com/web/login

There is no password saved. So I had to save it. No way to prompt the "new login" option in the email text box. So I had to click on the browser 1P extension icon and select "New Item". Which then opens the main 1P app to manually input username + password + website url + item name.

With the 1P7 browser extension, the name of website + username/password + website url would have been captured and I would be prompted to save the item as a login under a custom name.

1Password Version: 8.4.1
Extension Version: 2.2.1
OS Version: win10

Also, I am still having issues with that very login now (after manually adding it). It inputs the username, but the "Next" button is frozen. Please try it in Brave and see what you get.

Hello @4EverMaAT,

Thank you for sending us the link to your website. I tested 1Password, and it does not have trouble saving and filling correctly for me. In this case, please try these steps and let me know what doesn't work for you.

Open your website > Enter your mail. 1Password should offer to "Save in 1Password" under a small popup menu that appears under the username > Select that > save your website > Click on Next > Enter your password > Select "Sav in 1Password" > update your website.
