1Password 7 on iOS presents inconsistent logins
I still use 1Password 7 as my organisational security policies doesn't allow sync via 1Password.com. This means that the 1Password extension doesn't show my logins on iOS Safari. Instead, I nominate 1P7 as the default password manager in iOS and disable the Passwords app. This works well but produces an inconsistent experience.
Occasionally, the option to log in with 1P7 is cleanly presented as a smiley face, which possibly indicates FaceID integration:
Other times and for most websites, the login appears in a messy way with a key icon above the keyboard, appearing to hook into Safari's inbuilt password manager:
Is there a way to force Safari always to offer direct FaceID login, or is this something that must be supported by the website? An explanation of what's going on behind the scenes would be helpful!
