1Password 8: Empty Trash

You can select all the items in Recently Deleted by using ⌘+A, then right click > Destroy permanently...

I have installed 1Password 8.7.0 (80700098).

The only option I see is "Objekt wiederherstellen" (Restore object).

Sounds like you are in the Archive. That section is no longer the trash.

Talking trash: Why we're introducing the Archive

The idea is basically good. I am in the process of migrating data. I had to do this again and again to find the right import parameters. As a result, my archive filled up quite a bit. I would appreciate it if you could consider a way to delete the archive.

Thank you for the reply. You should be able to delete multiple items in the Archive using 1Password 8 for Mac, is it possible that you've opened Recently Deleted and not the Archive? Try these steps:

1. Open and unlock 1Password 8.
2. In the sidebar, scroll down and click on Archive.
3. Click on the first item on the list to select it.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the list. Then hold down SHIFT on your keyboard and click the last item. That will select all items in the Archive.
5. Right-click on one of the selected items and click Delete.

No, the archive is empty. All deleted items are in a folder called "Recently deleted". The only option I see, when right-clicking is "Restore Items".

If you want to remove those now, you can do so or they should be removed (no longer visible) from the recents in ~ 30 days.

To remove **ALL*

1. Double check you are in the Recently Deleted items.
2. Select one item and then press command + a
3. Right-click and select Destroy permanently

Be warned danger area above Make sure you really want to remove the items. You do not want to remove good data.

• The destroy option is available in the nightly. It may be that the production version you have does not contain this option. My apologies my main device is perpetually on the nightly and at the moment I don't have another device available to check this with.

  • I would think this will be available during the next beta. The beta would be the next stopping point before we send out a new production version. I'm not sure when that new production version will happen.
