1Password 8 for Mac takes MUCH too long to unlock

Version 7 would unlock almost instantaneously after I entered my local 1Password app's password.

Now Version 8 is taking 30 seconds up to a minute or more to unlock, and it doesn't even accept the local password I used in Version 7 but insists on the online account's password.

This is a stupid and disastrous degradation of functionality.

Is there some way to speed things up?

I suspect you are using an Apple Watch and might have dismissed a prompt. There is a bug we are working on resolving that sounds remarkably like your description.

No, I am not using Apple Watch! I am just using an iMac.

+1 speed has significantly worsened on v8. add to that, everything needs several more clicks or key presses compared to v7.
