1password acting strangely and repeating console errors

I'm sorry that Universal Autofill isn't filling consistently on your Mac. Is this behaviour that you're seeing consistently on certain specific websites? Or is it random? If you can reproduce the behaviour on specific websites then can you share the website addresses so that I can reproduce the issue?

random characters to either credential field when it does autofill

Is there a specific website that you saw this happen on? What characters are added to the field? Do you recognize them?

The issue happens randomly at all websites until it stops happening. I have also noticed that the 1Password icon is not automatically appearing in the menu bar all the time on boot and won't appear until I have manually launched 1Password.

For instance, upon boot today, 1Password icon was not in the menu bar so keyboard shortcut to autofill did absolutely nothing. After manually launching and then quitting 1Password, autofill has been working ... so far.

Thank you for the reply. I'm sorry that 1Password isn't launching when you start your Mac. This is a known issue and the good news is that it's already fixed in the beta version. Hopefully the fix makes it to the stable version soon.

The next time that you see Universal Autofill not working (and you see 1Password's icon in the menu bar), or additional characters are inserted when filling, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

With your email please include:

• Your forum username: billtcat
• The browser and website where you experienced the issue this time.
• The additional characters that were added and whether you recognize them (if the characters are sensitive then don't include them).

Thanks for the absolutely lightning-fast replies.

I've been a user since 1Password v2 and, even with Apple adding password management, I still prefer your product. The changes from 1Password 7 to 8 were less than thrilling and there are still many things that annoy, but it's still far and away the best and, in my opinion, most secure password manager.
