1password App keeps stopping on Chromebook

Did you install the Android version of 1Password through the Play Store on your Chromebook, or set up the Linux environment and install 1Password for Linux? Troubleshooting each of these would be a different process, so let me know and I can direct this query to the right place. :)

Thanks for confirming that. Could you gather some logs and send them over to us? Here's what to do:

1. Open the Files app by pressing Shift + Alt + M (note: this won't work if you're in a Linux app)
2. Choose "🐧 Linux files" in the sidebar under "My files".
3. Click the ⋮ three-dot menu in the top-right corner and turn on "Show hidden files".
4. Double click the .config folder, then 1Password.
5. Right-click the logs folder and choose "Zip selection".
6. Email the resulting zip file to support+forum@1password.com and you'll get a reply from BitBot containing a conversation number, which looks like [#ABC-12345-123]. Paste that conversation number here and I'll be able to find your email to make sure it goes to the right team.

I don't see the Linux Files icon , but have found the 3 dots and selected "Show hidden files" . But from there cannot find the .config folder . Here is the screenshot when I press Shift + Alt+M Do I need to have the Linux Development Environment to be switched on. ?

If you're not seeing "Linux files" in the sidebar, then that means you don't have the Linux container turned on, which would suggest you're not using 1Password for Linux on your Chromebook, but 1Password for Android instead.

We have heard reports of 1Password for Android failing to start correctly on Chromebooks, so try the beta version of it, and let me know if that helps:
