1Password autofilled signin: Can’t sign in. action not permitted, Missing user, unexpected error

From the desktop or plugin on Chrome, Open & Fill https://my.1password.com to frequently results in a "Can't sign in" error, but not always the same one. Errors include

Can’t sign in.
This action not permitted

Can’t sign in.
Error: Missing user

Can’t sign in.
An unexpected error occurred.

In each of these cases, clicking (Sign in) signs me in, as does reloading the page. Opening the page without trying to fill anything automagically signs me in. When signed in, a banner advises,

You were automatically signed in because your 1Password browser extension is unlocked
Sign-in is now faster and easier — and it's always improving

Occasionally after receiving the error, I was then signed in a second or two later with no action on my part. As with the different errors, this behaviour is inconsistent.

Testing now with every component since updated, this behaviour stubbornly refuses to show itself, with the plugin auto-signin working consistently.

Unless I see this behaviour again, I'll consider it fixed.

I'm sorry for the delay in responding. If you're still seeing their error message then, so that I can investigate further, I'd like to ask you to generate a console log:

Save a console log in your browser

Attach the console log to an email message addressed to support@1password.com

With your email please include:

I am still getting this error with 1Password for Windows 8.11.16 (81116035) and the latest extension, the browser is Firefox.

Unfortunately, one often does not remember to open Dev Console every time one is signing in to 1Password, but if I manage to get a console log, I will send it per instructions above.

I'm sorry that you ran into the same issue recently. The next time that you see the issue please capture a console log and send it in to our team who will be able to use it to help identify the issue and work on a solution. You can find console log instructions here.
