1password chrome extension opens new tab on signin - your session has expired

Question

In Chrome 1password extension, on entering password to authenticate browser opens new tab to 1password (browser login screen) claiming session has expired.  Close tab without logging in, 1password extension allows access to passwords as normal.

Can someone explain why this is happening - either I am authenticate (and it appear I am otherwise why can I access my passwords) or I am not (session expired) in which case why does login work.

Confusing and annoying as the extra tab opening each time is a pain.

Hey @rodneyt,I'm sorry for the trouble.I'd like to start by taking a look at your set up. Can you paste chrome://extensions into your browser address bar followed by the enter key?Do you see '1Password - Password Manager', '1Password (desktop app required' or both? Can you let me know which is enabled?I look forward to hearing from you.
