1Password conversion to Membership I can't see all attachments ie pdf's that I had made.

You are not alone. My attachments didn't come over either. On top of that I have hundreds of items that didn't import at all and the others are not all triple entries. It is a mess.

Hi Peter,, I think I have figured it out,, mostly Adding attachments,, from drop down menus.. however,, I am seeing some entries with carried over (legacy) attachments. Somewhere a long the line at the beginning.. I had to go through approx 330 total entries (all categories), that appeared as duplicates and triplicates,, and had to delete (what I thought carefully) the extra entries. Have sorted that out now, plus have added attachments that were missing (luckily retrieving pdf's of receipts etc). I'm sure I'm still going to find some more entries that are missing their respective attachments. I haven't yet deleted my Dropbox vaults,, which I was going to do , mostly because keeping them might be a prudent thing to do,, but I think that probably is just another security risk, keeping them in another area other than 1PW servers. Wonder, if there is a simple way of retrieving the attachments that were (are) there in that Dropbox vault.
I think I'm going to be ok now though,, but thanks for your offer PeterG_1P.. Maybe @Iam pissed needs more help than I..

Catherine got back to be via email and got me much closer, but what I forgot to ask her about is the missing attachments in the web interface.

What Catherine helped me do was:

1. Delete the duplicate and triplicate entries by deleting everything in my Private Vault, and then copying my correct entries in my Primary (iCloud) vault to the Private Vault. That got rid of all duplicate and triplicates and missing entries and missing attachments!

1. Since my Private Vault is now perfect, I assume I should delete my Primary (iCloud) vault, correct?

2. Then I still need to know what to do to upgrade to version 8.

3. Finally the question I forgot to ask her is that I noticed in the web interface 1Password (NOT the app) the attachments are missing. I just see: "This item has an unsupported field" in red. How can I get the attachments to show up in the web browser, or is it because I'm still using the version 7 app?

I'll let Catherine finish helping you get over the last hurdle, but as for the question you forgot to ask:

How can I get the attachments to show up in the web browser?

It's not currently possible to view attachments in the web browser just yet. Believe it or not, attachments are a relatively new feature for 1Password accounts. While it's possible to view an attachment in an account vault on any of the 1Password apps, we are still working on bringing the functionality to the web browsers.

So one more if you don't mind. Now that my Private vault online is perfect, I tried to install version 8 of the app. It just sits on importing the data into the version 8 app for hours and never finishes. How can I upgrade to 8 from 7?

Great! Glad I could help.

It sounds like you may still have a standalone vault in 1Password 7 which is causing the 1Password 8 installer to get hung up. It looks like Catherine just sent you an email recently, so I would encourage you to continue working with her to get that sorted. I wouldn't want to give you any directions that might conflict with hers. 😅
