1Password not working correctly in Safari

Hi!

Since recently 1password is not working properly in Safari anymore. When I click on the little 1P icon in a login field, nothing happens and I have to copy/paste all the information manually which is of course much less smooth in terms of workflow.

In general, I have the impression, that 1P has much more hiccups lately. It used to work perfectly for a long time and now it annoys me basically on a daily basis.

In addition to that:
When I click the 1P icon next to the address bar and click "Fill" nothing happens.
And this is the case for any website

Hello @JuliusH! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password for Safari isn't working correctly. As a first step, can you please update to version 2.18.0: How to keep 1Password up to date in your browser

Then, try these steps:

  1. Close all open web browsers.
  2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
  3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
  4. Open your web browser.

Let me know if you still see the issues after doing this.

The issue remains after updating 1Password for Safari for me unfortunately.

Hey @cortig, thanks for writing in. I replied to you in the https://1password.community/discussion/comment/701478/#Comment_701478, I just wanted to double check if you're experiencing the same issue as the one posted there?

Hi @lysander,

Can you provide a little more detail on the issue you are having so I can make sure we are on the same page?

Thank you!
