1Password popup hides login button/doesn't close after auto-filling username or password

Thank you for reporting the issue! I've tried to reproduce the same behaviour when using 1Password in the browser 2.23.1 beta and I'm not able to do so on the following website: https://app.quicken.com/

Can you provide a link to the other page where you were able to reproduce the issue? And are you able to still reproduce the issue after updating Chrome to version 124.0.6367.92/124.0.6367.93?

Here, autofill populates the username without user intervention, but the 1Password suggested logins remain on full display, obscuring the Enter button until I either tab out of the username or password field, or click on the portion of the submit button that is not behind the 1Password suggestions.
(These are just two of many examples, but the problem does not exist across all sites.)

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify: are you clicking on the 1Password suggestion to fill your username/password? 1Password won't automatically fill anything into a page without direct action from you. Direct action includes clicking on the suggestion in the 1Password inline menu, using the fill in browser shortcut (Command-Backslash), or clicking Open and Fill from the 1Password app.

Can you tell me which of these actions you're performing to fill into the page?

Thanks for sticking with me on this. If you look at the screenshot from my first post, you'll see that the password has already been filled by 1Password (b/c I clicked on the inline popup). Yet that inline popup is still displaying on top of the Submit button to continue the login process. (When I'm presented with a login page, I usually choose to click on the suggested 1Password login to "trigger" it to populate the username or password field. At other times, I'll search for the entry in 1Password and let 1Password navigate to the website for me and then begin the sign-in process.)

I believe I now understand the behavior I'm seeing. If I'm on a sign-in page whose URL does not match that of the associated 1P password, the password DOES autofill, but the prompt does not disappear (i.e., still covers the "Submit" button) because 1P is still offering me a "Save Password" action. I have not been clicking on Save Password, because I know that it already exists in 1P (how else would the password have autofilled?).

What 1Password really is asking me is whether I want to A) update the saved password with (I'm not sure which) an _additional _URL to associate with the saved password or B) update the saved password by replacing the existing URL with that of the sign-in page I'm currently on.

I find it curious that the 1Password box only says "Save Password" if the resulting action would be to update an existing, not save a brand new, password.

Thanks for those details. 1Password should only ever fill your login item on a website whose URL you have saved in that login item. It shouldn't be suggesting your login when you're on a page that isn't saved to that login item.

One more thought, is it possible that you have two different versions of the 1Password extension enabled in your browser? If you're using Chrome then you can check by entering this into your address bar and pressing Enter:
