Question

"1password quit unexpectedly" at every startup

Hi,

Everytime I switch on my PC an error window is popping up with this message "1password quit unexpectedly".

Everything works fine, and 1password is working as expected. 

How could I get rid of this annoying popup?

My version is 1Password for Windows 8.11.20 (81120039), running on Win11 25H2

I'm sorry that 1Password for Windows is crashing after you boot your Windows PC. I'd like to ask you to create and share a 1Password diagnostics report from your Windows PC:

Well, it seems I don't have the issue anymore with version : 1Password for Windows 8.11.23 (81123001)
I'll open the ticket if this occurs again.

This issue has been happening for multiple years with no fix. The moment a company ignores its customers and its product is the moment the customers start to jump ship. It's a shame because the product is otherwise really good, just blighted with this frustratingly annoying startup crash.

Since 2 years ago you have been asking for diagnostic reports. Just fix the dam thing.

I'm running the latest version of 1Password for Windows 8.11.23 and have been getting this same issue for over 2 year.

 

I'm a software engineer, and I know that it doesn't take this long to fix a commonly reported and known issue.

I have recently (about a week) started getting this same error after booting my Windows 11. It has worked fine for three years. 

I have sent in a diagnostics report: WCF-26817-762.

I have also clicked the Report button in the error message several times.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

It happens to me, too, but less frequently these days.

In the beginning I used to reboot to try to get rid of the error, but that practically never worked, so I have been clicking on "Ignore" ever since and, fortunately, the program still works.

Thanks, @1P_Gem, but I'm good.

As I stated, it is infrequent nowadays and clicking on "Ignore" works without any loss of functionality, so not a major issue for me.

This issue has been happening for me for several months, including this morning.  I've just submitted a support email containing my diagnostic log, a reference to this thread, and my forum username.
