1Password's weird messages

Please help to fix the following:

Lately I started receiving a weird pair of messages on iPhone. The first pops up as '' with an option to 'Customize'. After clicking on the 'Customize' the second message pops up as just a text, which says: 'You shouldn't have gotten here: HomeScreenView.swift 89'. (The number is changing).

Screenshots are attached:

Thank you.

Hello @pal-mim! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into issues when viewing the Home screen in 1Password for iOS. It looks like you're running into a known issue that our development team is currently investigating.

If you switch tabs (tapping on Items and then back on Home in the navigation bar at the bottom of the app) then does that allow you to workaround the issue? Or do you see the same message?

Hi Dave,

I didn't try to switch tabs without first clicking on the 'Customize' and receiving the error message. That was the only workaround I applied.

Next time the message pops ups I will try to not forget and to switch the tab first.  - Will update on the results of that 'exercise'.

Sounds good! Let me know if that workaround doesn't help.

Hi Dave,

Recently, more often than before, that weird screen pops up upon opening the app. I can confirm that switching the tabs does remove that screen. Once the app is launched with that weird screen, by tapping on Home the screen goes away, but if then to switch to the Items and then back to Home, the weird screen is 'trying' to pop up for a very short moment - a fraction of a second. All that is happening only if right after the initial launch of the 1Password app is started with that screen, and only once or twice.

@pal-mim

I'm sorry for the impact to your workflow. The issue is still open with our development team, hopefully a fix can be released in a future update soon.

For the time being, when you encounter the issue, switching tabs is still the best option to get things working when you see the issue.

I started having this problem yesterday.  The message appears and changing tabs does NOT help.  I can still use the app on my ipad, but on my iphone it is not usable.

I verified the app is still filling passwords in other screens, but I can not use the 1password app itself.  I also unloaded the app and reloaded it as well as restarted my phone (from a powered off state)
