1Password Safari with profiles /Sonoma unresponsive or unusably slow

Couldn't see a way to metoo on https://1password.community/discussion/142313/sonoma-has-broken-1password-in-safari but I am seeing the same behaviour every day in the safari extension. Clicking the on page icon or autofill either doesn't work, or takes forever to respond.

Have tried multiple reboots, disable/re-enable the plugin, nada works

1Password Version: 8.10.18
Extension Version: 2.16.10
OS Version: macOS 14.1
Browser: Safari 17.1
