I get this warning message every time I try to upgrade from 7 to 8.   I am on a Mac Mini running IOS15. Any thoughts?

If anyone else is running into this issue, we've identified the bug. This issue typically happens when attempting to install 1Password 8 on an Intel Mac. As a workaround, you can download the Intel version directly here: [Update: This is now resolved and you can download the Intel version as you normally would here: https://1password.com/downloads/mac].

Hi @JanFromEarth,

I'm so sorry for the trouble! Where are you downloading 1Password 8 from: our website, a button inside 1Password 7, or somewhere else? Can you tell me the steps you took leading up to this Something Went Wrong message?

I started on the website and then tried from within the app.  I then deleted the app and tried again from the website. Either way, it downloads a Zip file which unpacks as an installation app then I get the mesage about being unable to find the URL.  I am certain I am missing a step but I sure hope not because it seems pretty foolproof.......unless I am the fool, of course. :)

I was able to update the 1Password on my Macbook Air to version 8 so it has to be something with the Mac Mini.

Hi @JanFromEarth,

You are not the fool! We've identified a bug in the installer affecting Macs with Intel processors – by any chance is your MacBook Air running Apple Silicon and the Mac Mini running Intel?

I am going to private message you a direct download link to the Intel version of the installer. Please use that on your Mac Mini and then you can respond here in the discussion thread whether it resolved the issue or not.

my 1password got corrupted my mac and needed to reinstall. I had 1password8 directly from the 1password website. download the installer...fine..then a couple of popup laters..."Something Went Wrong Installing 1Password. We weren’t able to find the URL to download 1Password. Try again or contact support. "

Chatbot not helpful...where do we get real help?

I have Sequoia 15.5, all other apps on phone, safari, etc. still work, can get into my account and  have removed old app from application folder.

Hi @SudofRe,

I'm sorry for the trouble! There's a bug we've identified where on Intel Macs, the installer is having trouble. A fix is being tested as we speak.

As a short-term workaround, you can download 1Password 8 for Intel Macs here: [Update: This is now resolved and you can download the Intel version here: https://1password.com/downloads/mac].
