2FA, when is it useful

Question

I have only one phone, and want to use 1Password on that phone.

I think 2FA adds nothing to security when the 2FA-app it's on the same phone as the actual 1Password app, because when my phone is stolen the 2FA codes arrive on that phone.

If my assumption is correct the following question: Is it possible to setup 2FA for browser plugins only?
