Aarch64 on Rock5b Ubuntu now flickers, unusable

I've been using the manually downloaded/installed version of 1Password on Joshua Riek's build of Ubuntu 24.04 for Rock5b for a good long while, perfectly, until now.  Both the latest and nightly .tar.gz flicker badly and keyboard input to unlock is impossible.  Previously, a version 8.10.something was working perfectly, but the 8.11 latest and 8.11.20-21.NIGHTLY exhibit this unusable UI issue.

Are there external dependencies changed recently that if applied can correct this problem?
