Account recovery fails despite having Secret Key and Recovery Code (password forgotten)
Hi,
I’m locked out of my 1Password account and need help determining my recovery options.
My situation:
- I DO have my Secret Key
- I DO have my Recovery Code
- I DO have my Emergency Kit
- I do NOT have my account password anymore (it was changed and not written down)
What happens:
- Signing in with email + Secret Key + password fails (password is incorrect)
- Attempting account recovery using the Recovery Code also fails
Exact error shown during recovery:
“Recent attempt was cancelled.”
Additional details:
- The recovery code has never been used before
- Correct account and email are confirmed
- Tried multiple browsers and devices
- I can still access my vault locally on Android using biometric unlock, but:
- it regularly asks for the account password
- the vault no longer syncs or updates
Can support confirm whether recovery is still possible in this situation, or advise on the correct next steps if it is not?
