Hello, @ComfortableMilk4454. Thank you for writing in.

I'm sorry about the trouble. This is a limitation enforced by Mozilla, and it turns off extensions on their domains (their website URLs) by default. I recommend using the drag-and-drop method from the 1Password extension pop-over instead.

  1. Click the 1Password icon in the browser's toolbar.
  2. Click and drag your credentials into the fields.

Alternatively, there is a way to bypass this in Firefox by adjusting some options on the about:config page; this will enable all extensions on their domains. Here's how.

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Paste about:config into the address bar and press enter.
    • You should see a warning page; confirm to proceed
  3. Paste extensions.webextensions.restricted in the search bar and press enter
  4. Click the pencil icon, find accounts.firefox.com and delete it.

Here's a screenshot for reference:

After confirming the change, refresh the page of Firefox Accounts, and you should see 1Password working there.

I hope that helps.

thank you for the response. instead of changing about:config can't i just go to my extensions, click on 1password & set "Run on sites with restrictions" to allow?

@ComfortableMilk4454,

I've done some testing on my end and couldn't get that option to work in Firefox. Furthermore, I've tried allowing a different extension, but that didn't work either. It sounds like there may be a bug with the Run on sites with restrictions option on Firefox.
