Question

Add Orion RC to list of apps that support universal autofill

The standard Orion browser app supports universal autofill, but for anyone that pays for Orion and gets access to Orion RC, universal autofill no longer works.

This was mentioned on the Orion Feedback site here:
https://orionfeedback.org/d/8673-1password-universal-autofill-works-in-regular-orion-but-not-in-rc

A developer there said this is a 1Password issue and that Orion RC needs to be added to its list of identifiers.

The macOS bundle identifier of the Orion RC browser is `com.kagi.kagimacOS.RC`.

Can we please get this identifier added to 1Password in a future release?

Hello @PaddedPike! 👋

Thanks for the request! I do see that Orion's bundle ID is added to 1Password's Universal Autofill allow list as a known browser but Orion RC won't work if it uses a different bundle ID. I've filed an internal work item to have the team look into adding Orion RC as well.

I can't personally verify the bundle ID or the issue since Orion RC seems to only be available for paid subscribers and there isn't a public download link. However the team will look into this further.

Not sure what the status on this is, but I'm affected by this as well and it's quite inconvenient. If it helps, the CFBundleIdentifier is

com.kagi.kagimacOS.RC

As opposed to the regular versions

com.kagi.kagimacOS

Hope that helps.

@Archanyhm

Thank you for the request! I've added it to our internal tracking item as well.
