Android app does not open

I'm sorry that 1Password is crashing on your Samsung phone. Does the crash only occur when you're trying to fill a password into a website or another app? Or does it occur when you try to launch 1Password from the home screen of your phone?

You mentioned that you're using 8.10.30 but you posted in the beta category of the forum, the current beta version for 1Password for Android is 8.10.32-44. If you are using the beta version then please update: How to keep 1Password up to date

The crash occurs when I try to launch 1Password from the home screen of my phone.

As 1Password does not open at all, I can't check the version number from within the app. The Google Play store, from which I downloaded it, says the app is version 8.10.30.

Apologies if I posted in the Beta group. It wasn't my intention to get this into the wrong category.

Thank you for the reply. A few users have reported that installing a pending update for their Samsung phone has resolved a similar issue, can you check to see if you have any pending updates to install? If you do then please install them and then restart your phone.

If that still doesn't work then please try these steps:

1. Download and save your Emergency Kit.
2. Open your device settings.
3. Tap Apps.
4. Tap 1Password.
5. Tap Storage, then tap Clear Storage or Clear Data.
6. Open the 1Password for Android app, then sign into your 1Password account again using one of the sign in steps provided within the app.

Let me know if 1Password continues to crash once you've tried this.

Thanks for the reply and assistance.

A few hours before your post, I un-installed the non-functioning 1Password app and reinstalled from Google play. Have used it four times since then and it has worked perfectly. Bad download the first time?
