Archived items are suggested by AutoFill on iOS

Further evidence of the Safari extension's brokenness: tapping in an empty username field brings up the iOS keyboard including the 1Password suggested password fill and the "key" icon. Tapping the key icon reveals more suggestions, but when I tap the "1Password" button, passwords INCLUDING archived passwords are offered. Something is wrong with the extension and its reference to the account's vaults. Archived passwords should not be offered to be used to fill in a password field.

Hello folks,

Our development team has resolved an issue where archived items may have appeared on the Home screen or when filling your login credentials on iOS.

Please update to version 8.12.12: How to keep 1Password up to date

If you're still seeing issues after updating then please let me know.

Hello @spedf22! 👋

I'm sorry that you're seeing archived items being suggested when filling your login credentials on iOS or on the Home screen in the 1Password app. I've reproduced the issue on my end as well and I've opened a bug report with our development team so that they can investigate.

Hopefully this will be fixed with a future update soon and I'm sorry again for the inconvenience.

Hi,

iOS app version 8.12.10 (81210028) beta.

iOS 26.4.1

In the "Home" tab, when you open the view "Recently Modified", the app lists items that have already been archived. When you try to open these items, the app seems to try to open it, but immediately closes the window that's sliding in from the right side of the screen.

How to reproduce:

  1. Create an item
  2. Archive the item
  3. The item is listed in "Recently Modified", but can't be opened

Also force-quitting the app does not help so you basically have to wait until the list is filled with more items so the archived items eventually drop out.

Not just iOS.  The same thing is happening on macOS as well for me.  It's a recent development within the last few weeks... maybe a month at most.
