Auto lock isn't working

I've contacted tech support at least 3 times to ask that the auto lock be fixed. Each time I'm told they're working on it. So sick of logging in multiple times a day because app locks me out every 10 minutes or at least far less than the 90, then 180, then 240 minutes I've now set it on. When will this problem be resolved!

Thank you for the screenshot, that confirms that you're referring to the auto-lock period for the 1Password.com web app and not the browser extension or the desktop app.

There was an issue where users would see "Your session has ended after 10 minutes of inactivity" regardless of what duration they set for auto-lock. This specific issue has been resolved however there is a secondary issue that is still open where 1Password.com might lock after ~35 minutes even if you have a longer auto-lock duration set. Our developers are investigating the issue and hopefully a fix will be released soon.

I know that this issue is disruptive. As a workaround, I recommend that you use the desktop app instead for now since it doesn't run into the same issue: Get the 1Password apps

Hello @frustrateduser! 👋

I'm sorry that auto-lock isn't working as expected, I can understand the frustration that an issue like this causes. I don't have access to your support tickets here in the public community so I'll need to ask a few questions to check on the status of the issue that you're running into:

  1. On which device are you running into the issue?
  2. Are you running into the issue with the 1Password desktop app, the 1Password browser extension, or 1Password.com in the browser?
  3. Can you post a screenshot of your current auto-lock settings?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Desktop. Chrome browser. I think I have the extension but not sure and not home to check. What kind of screenshot do you need? I assume something other than the one that says 240 minutes

Thank you for confirming that you're running into the issue in Chrome on your Macbook. Can you post a screenshot of the the auto-lock settings that you've set that aren't being respected by 1Password?

It sounds like you've set auto-lock for 240 minutes and I'd like to see a screenshot of that since that will tell me where the issue is specifically.
