autocomplete=off not respected

Hi, with Pinboard firefox extension (https://github.com/gapop/pinboard-webextension) there is a form that we can use to submit a new bookmark.

There is a text field for tags, with attributes to disable the autofill feature of 1Password, but it is not respected.

It seems like an issue on 1Password side.

Hello @jlecour! 👋

Thanks for the question! Are you the developer of the page in the question? If you are then you can set 1Password to ignore that field by using data-1p-ignore: Ignore offers to save or fill specific fields

That being said, it doesn't look like 1Password should be offering suggestions for the tags field even without that attribute. Our development team can update the filling brain to get this fixed, could you please send the page structure of the webpage in question to our support team? Follow these steps:

  1. Open the website in question until you can see the tags field that you're referring to.
  2. Right-click on the page and click "1Password - Password Manager" > Help > Collect Page Structure.

Attach the resulting JSON file to an email message addressed to support@1Password.com

With your email please include:

  • A link to this thread: https://www.1password.community/discussions/1password/autocompleteoff-not-respected/161793
  • Your forum username: jlecour
  • A link to the affected webpage.
  • Please do not post the file here on the forum.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

Thanks Dave for your guidance,

I'm not the author of this page, but I guess I can file an issue for the Firefox extension.

I will also follow your instructions and send an email to the 1Password support team.

@jlecour

Thank you! I can confirm that we've received the page structure from you and one of my colleagues will reach out to you soon via email once they've reviewed the file.
