Autofill and keyboard shortcut broken macOS

Question

The default keyboard shortcut (Cmd-\) to open 1Password from anywhere on the mac initially works. But when selecting a vault item and clicking "autofill" and giving it permission to fill for the given app, nothing fills and then the keyboard shortcut completely stops working.

Are you experiencing this issue on a specific app on macOS? Can you autofill in the browser using the keyboard shortcut?
