Autofill prompts inconsistently appearing for browsers on Android 8.10.72

I have been finding that autofill prompts are generally not appearing when tapping in username/password fields in web browsers in the latest version of 1Password. Testing on various web pages in both Chrome and DuckDuckGo, I can sometimes get the prompts to appear if I tap  repeatedly, but I can't find a consistent way to do so. Sometimes the prompts will appear and then disappear if I tap between fields.

I have enabled "autofill using another service" in the new Autofill Services setting in Chrome, and I have made sure 1Password is my preferred service for passwords in my system settings.

I have tried changing the 1Password setting Display Autofill Prompts to "above keyboard" and to "below fields," and it doesn't seem to resolve the issue. I have noticed the problem using both the Google keyboard and SwiftKey.

This issue seems to have been introduced when 1Password added a prompt to change the Chrome Autofill Services setting. I did so and immediately noticed the issue. Prior to that, 1Password worked seamlessly.

Hey @sethmad, thanks for writing in! I'm sorry to hear you're seeing some inconsistent filling behavior.

Just to help get a baseline, I'd like to ask you to completely close 1Password and your browser (remove them from the recent items carousel) restart your device, open and unlock 1Password, then open your browser and try filling. Are you seeing the same inconsistent behavior?

If so, could you let us know if there are specific websites where there's consistently an issue with Chrome and/or DuckDuckGo? Thanks again!

I tried what you recommended and saw no change. Two sites where I've experienced the problem are 1) this community, and 2) https://reg.usps.com/login?app=eReg&appURL=https%3A%2F%2Freg.usps.com%2Fentreg%2Fsecure%2FInformedDeliveryValidateAction_input

Hello again @sethmad! I would put this one in the workaround category. I suspect you may have been seeing behavior related to this Chromium issue. If that's the case, when it's resolved or otherwise updated you can resume using the expected settings.
