Question

Autofill Windows and Chrome

I am a long term eWallet user -- not a bad app but had great difficulty keeping various iphones, ipads, Macbooks, windows PCs all sync’d up
With that said I have had an eWallet autopass extension installed on my wife’s windows PC
She hates change - so I am trying desperately to get the “autofill” function to work properly with 1Password

At first I had a 1PW dialog for Windows Security popping up - stating no Passkey avaiable.  I seem to have that gone with various setting changes.

I have both Windows 1PW app and the Windows Chrome Ext installed.  I have not uninstalled eWallet chrome autopass ext but I have tried things with it enabled and with it disabled.

The really really weird thing is that it seems that autofill will work about 1 out of 6 or 8 times -- just now with a capitalone banking site it initially did not fill but then suddenly filled after 4 or 5 sec wait (which I thought might provide a clue)

Any best practices guideline to try to get this working so I can confidently turn off eWallet (without too much yelling from my wife) … that assures AUTOFILL function with Chrome on Windows?

Of note -- it is working flawlessly on my MacBook

Hi @jcrompton,

To help me better understand the situation so I can provide some specific guidance, I'd like to ask a few questions if you don't mind:

  • When you mention that autofill frequently isn’t working, are you seeing prompts at all from 1Password? If so, is the issue that when you click the prompts, there is a delay before it fills (or doesn’t fill at all)?
  • Does the issue seem to be happening on all websites, or is it specific ones?
  • Do you have the 1Password desktop app installed on the device as well? If so, you right click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and select Settings, what status do you see beside the "Integration status" setting in the "General" section? Does it say [Status: Connected 🟢] or do you see another status?

Looking forward to your reply!

Trevor - thank you for replying - I ended up sending email support a message and I have been communicating with Ian and Ana , so far.

I have just replied to them with answers to similar questions you have asked.

I can post back later if we get resolved
