Question

Automatically update all HTTP sites to HTTPS if they support it

I have 2367 logins in my 1Password, and 376 of them use HTTP, of which Watchtower can change each item individually (a process that still requires (1) clicking the item, (2) clicking the dropdown, (3) clicking "Use HTTPS", (4) confirming the prompts). It would be nice if there was a menu item to just have 1Password automatically convert all HTTP logins that support HTTPS to HTTPS, so that 1Password does not expect me to sit at my computer clicking like a monkey.

@balupton

Thanks for sharing I will pass that idea to the team. I'm for less clicks 100%. Hopefully, this is something we can bring about in the future.

Thanks @1P_Tommy, in the meantime https://github.com/bevry/dorothy/commit/4350622e4ae080daf071d3e63cfd4ee139cb801d to the https://github.com/bevry/dorothy via its https://github.com/bevry/dorothy#secrets command, which interfaces with the 1Password CLI.

You may be able to trial it standalone (without setting up Dorothy) by running:

bash
bash --rcfile <(curl -fsSL https://dorothy.bevry.workers.dev)
secret https
