Question

AWS login not working (how to prevent auto clicking "login" button?)

AWS Amazon login has stopped working in 1Password, it takes me to "sign up" page after logging in.

The reason: latest extension version 1Password tries to auto-click the "login" button. Which breaks some websites that uses hidden JS logic behind form filling.

REVERT THIS STUPID BEHAVIOR

Hello @AlexY, thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry about the issue you're running into with 1Password in the browser.

You're correct; there is a known issue with using the Autosubmit feature on the AWS website. Our development team is aware of this bug and working on a fix for the Stable version. The fix is currently available in the Beta version of the 1Password extension.

While I can't give an exact timeframe for when a fix will be available in the Stable version, I recommend keeping 1Password up to date so that you can receive the fix as soon as possible, and any updates will be posted on our website:

  • https://releases.1password.com/

In the meantime, you can temporarily turn off the Autosubmit feature. Here's how:

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and select "Settings".
  3. In the Autofill & save section, turn off "Sign in automatically after autofill".

I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
