Banking security code autofill

Hello Former Member, thank you for writing in.

I'd suggest creating multiple custom fields in your Login item and separating each Security code into different fields. Here's how:

1. Open and unlock 1Password.
2. Locate your Login item and click "Edit".
3. Click "+ add more" select "password" and then change the "password" title to "1st". Enter the first Security code below the title.
4. Repeat step 4 for the remainder of the boxes and then remove the original Security code field.
5. Click "Save".

After that, try to autofill using 1Password in the browser.

Thanks Evon, that's a great suggestion! It's unfortunately not working for the 1st field, despite having created a custom field with that name, containing only the single digit, and having removed the original Security code field. Autofill appears to be populating that field with one of the (many) other passwords in the item.

I did some further testing on my end, and the additional fields you have in the Login item aren't causing the issue. From my testing, it looks like the username field is being auto-filled in the first box. Here's a screenshot for reference on how I found that:

Updating the existing Login item on that page is changing the username instead of creating an additional field.

Could you create another custom field labelled "username", enter your username below it and then delete the top "username" field? Here's what that looks like:

Great, that worked - thanks Evon. Clearly some issues with that site!

If possible, I do think built-in 1Password compatibility for these kinds of passcodes, from which random single characters are requested, would be a helpful addition. They're not uncommon, especially in online banking.
