Billing still shows App Store

Hello,

I’ve been a 1Password user for a while and my subscription was originally managed through Apple/App Store.

Recently, I switched my subscription to be billed directly through 1Password instead. However, in the billing section, it still says that my plan is “billed through the App Store.”

Is this expected for some time after the change, or is there anything else I need to do to fully update the billing information?

Thanks.

Hi @pasema,

To confirm, did your App Store subscription reach the end of its subscription period, or did you just cancel it? If you just cancelled it, it will remain active until the end of the subscription period that you paid for. After that, you can subscribe again directly through 1Password.

If that's not matching up with your experience, I'd like to have our Billing team take a closer look. To prevent discussing account specific details here, could you send an email message addressed to support@1password.com instead?

I cancelled the subscription, but it hasn’t reached the end of the subscription period yet (it ends in August).

My concern is that I don’t know whether I could lose my vault while one subscription ends and I activate the new one.

Hi @pasema,

When your subscription ends, your account will enter a frozen, read-only state. At that point, you can re-subscribe. This process has no impact on your 1Password data. You can read more about this in the article below:

If your 1Password account is frozen
