Is this just me? I can't enter password from the extension path. Just get black screen.

OS Version: Win11

Our team has received a few other reports of the issue and we're investigating this behaviour. For the time being, you might be able to workaround the issue without having to turn off app integration by following these steps in the desktop app:

  1. Open and unlock 1Password 8.
  2. In the top left, click ⋮ > Settings > Advanced.
  3. Uncheck the option to Use Hardware Acceleration.
  4. Fully quit and restart the app with Ctrl + Q or by right clicking the icon in the system tray > Quit.
  5. Relaunch 1Password and test whether you can still reproduce the black window.

Let me know if that helps. 🙂

Hi,

I've been experiencing this issue on Windows 11 on an Azure DevBox. Disabling hardware acceleration does solve it. I'm using the latest bits.

@clairernovotny

I'm sorry that you ran into the issue as well. The issue is still open with out development team and the best workaround for now continues to be turning off hardware acceleration for 1Password as described in this post.

I've had this issue on both my Windows 11 machines / Edge browsers for over an year, multiple windows reinstalls etc.

Have emailed about this to 1password support but never heard back.

@mltf

I'm sorry that you're seeing the same issue. Have you already tried the steps in this comment here: Link

Let me know if those don't work.

Have emailed about this to 1password support but never heard back.

I'm not seeing any support tickets opened by the email address that you use for the community. Did you use a different email address to reach out to our support team? Can you check your spam/junk folder to see if our replies ended up there?

Will try disabling hardware acceleration to see if it helps.

I used some sort of support or feedback form (can't find any replies or ticket numbers) and also left feedback on the extension via microsoft store. It had a link to screen recording of the issue so not sure if it made it through with the link.
