brave doesn't connect to the main app


while firefox does

i tried reinstalling the extension and reinstalling the brave browser


1Password Version: 1Password for Windows 8.10.35 (81035003)
Extension Version: 2.24.2
OS Version: Windows 11 Pro Version 23H2 build 22631.3737
Browser: Brave

Hello @Nixobe! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password in Brave is having trouble connecting to the desktop app on your Windows PC. As a first step, can you try the following:

  1. Close all open browsers.
  2. Open and unlock the 1Password for Windows desktop app.
  3. Click the three dots at the top of the sidebar and click Quit.
  4. Reopen and unlock the 1Password for Windows desktop app.
  5. Open Brave.

Is the integration between the browser extension and the desktop app now working? If that still doesn't work then does your Windows username contain characters other than numbers and letters?

still doesn't work even though my windows username is just latin letters (without accents)
