Question

Browser Extension is just no longer usable in Firefox

I click on the browser extension and open and fill.  Nothing happens.  I try copying the URL to paste into my browser.   Nope, nothing copied, so nothing pastes.  I have to open the 1p app and click open and fill and then it opens in my Firefox.

I go to a website and click the little 1p icon in the username or password field; it shows me my username.  I click,  Nothing auto fills.  I click out, then click in the field without clicking the 1p icon/arrow thing and then it shows the username and when I click it autofills.  But if I click in the field before clicking on the 1p arrow/icon, the username doesn't appear, so it's always a double (well, actually triple) click step.

I'm on Mac M3 - OS 15.6.1 (24G90)

This has really become unbearable.

Hi @candlepop, I'm sorry to hear that you're running into these issues with 1Password in Firefox.

I have a few questions to better understand the behaviour you’re seeing:

  • Which version of the 1Password extension are you running? You can check this under Settings > About.
  • When did the issue start? Did it follow a Firefox or 1Password update?
  • Are you seeing this behaviour on all websites, or a specific one? If it is a specific one could you share the website URL with me?
  • Are you running any other extensions that might be conflicting, such as security tools or ad blockers? If you're not sure, you can try temporarily disabling any other extensions to see whether the behaviour improves.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I don't know when it started happening, but it's been a little while.  It certainly wasn't always this way.

I use  Firefox Extended Support Release version 140.11.0esr (aarch64)

Behavior is on all websites.

No extensions at all.

Beahvior is also inside the 1p extension itself, not only does "Open and Autofill" do nothing, but after I click on 2 or 3 logins, the stuff on the right that shows the details just goes blank for any other one I click on - that's an example after clicking on a login
