Bug causing odd truncation in sorting drop down menu

Hi,
when performing a search, the sorting menu gets truncated - seemingly depending on the search results (or the number of them). It has been like this for a long time. I initially reported it in February via Twitter, but it still has this odd behavior. This bug makes it hard to know what sorting is active while performing searches.
