[Bug] Custom Login Icon Not Displayed in Passkey Browser Pop-up

Description:
When using a passkey to log in via the browser, the pop-up that appears does not display the custom icon defined for the login. Instead, it only shows the initials of the login name (for example, "GH" for a GitHub login), ignoring the custom image that was set.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set a custom icon/image for a login (e.g., GitHub)
2. Initiate a login using a passkey in a browser that supports passkeys
3. Observe the passkey authentication pop-up

Expected Behavior:
The browser pop-up should display the custom icon associated with the login.

Actual Behavior:
The pop-up displays only the initials of the login name (e.g., "GH"), and the custom icon is not shown.

Environment:
Browser: Safari Version 18.4 (20621.1.15.11.10)
OS: macOS 15.4.1 (24E263), iOS / iPadOS 18.4.1
1Password Browser Extension: Version 8.10.70.27
1Password for Mac: Version 8.10.75 (81075001)

Additional Information:
This issue may affect the user experience by reducing brand consistency or recognizability in multi-login environments.

Hello @accordionmelody and @amnesia! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into an issue where custom icons aren't being displayed in the browser. This is a known issue that the team has been able to reproduce and I've added your reports to the internal work item for the issue.

When the issue is resolved you'll see it noted here. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Can confirm this. It's pretty annoying, because I have a lot of custom icons.

Addition: Same behavior for notifications when a login on a site is detected and suggested to be saved or a login is updated.

Hello again, I think I can still reproduce this issue. I assume it is not fixed. Just wanted to check in if a fix is considered. Thanks a lot, for any update. :)

@accordionmelody

The bug report is still open in our developer's backlog and I don't have any updates to share. Our release notes will mention the fix when it's implemented and released: Release Notes

Hello guys,

this bug is still present with 1Password for Safari 8.12.21 and 1Password for Mac 8.12.28 (81228006). Custom icons are shown in the auto-fill suggestions and all other places in the browser extension or the macOS, iOS & iPadOS apps, only in the passkey popup in Safari they are missing. Do you have any timeline for a fix on that?
