Can Not Passkey or Facebook To Work

Question

I am trying to create a Passkey for Facebook.

I log into the Facebook, I navigate my way to the Passkey, I click the screen to create a Passkey and then:

1. I get a message that 1Password wants to create a new item for https://accounts.meta.com which is not my Facebook item / login URL

2 There is no ability within 1Password to select / update an exiting item; nothing is listed.

Clicking on Watchtower > Passkeys > Use passkey is useless and it takes me to a Facebook help page which tells me to do teh very thing that has failed.

Questions: How do create Passkey for Facebook as oppose dot create one for what appears to be an entirely different item.

Hello ​@Joelc! 👋I’m sorry that you’re running into an issue saving your passkey for Facebook. I’ve reproduced the issue on my end, it looks like our implementation of macOS native AutoFill doesn’t fully support a feature call related origins which helps when a passkey is shared across several different domains such as facebook.com and meta.com. I’ve reported the issue to our development team.For the time being, here are the best workarounds:You can add meta.com as an additional website address to your existing Login item for Facebook.com. Then try to save the passkey again.You can disable native AutoFill and use 1Password for Safari to save the passkey instead:If you want to turn off Autofill-Dave
