Can not unlock 1P Extension in new Edge Profile

Question

I have installed the 1P in Browser extension in my Edge browser. Today I attempted to create two new profiles. I attempted to add the 1P extension to both profile. In both cases, the extension remains locks and is not syncing with my desktop version of 1Password. My existing profile (created several weeks ago) works just fine.

Any thoughts why this would not work for new profiles

Depending on how your data is synced (locally vs. 1password.com), you may not be able fully integrate with the desktop app. Can you confirm the version of the extension you have installed in the profile where things are working? You can check this under edge://extensions.
