Can someone simply explain the versions of 1Password I have compared to 1Password 8
So the problem with getting older is I don't understand the terminology in the knowledge base. Yes, I can look it up but if the instructions don't use terminology I understand then they are not helpful.
I currently use 1Password. I love it. But in the process pf trying to get my entire family set up on a family plan I've run into problems. I've been using it for years... probably a decade +. I have it on my Mac and on my iPhone (they sync). From my understanding I need to upgrade to 1Password 8 to use the family plan (and start paying subscription fees - which I don't mind), then I cna invite family members (Up to 4 additional) to join.
I've tried emailing support. I have 10-20 emails with them but I don't completely understand the answers and regularly they leave me with more questions than solutions.
On my iPhone I have version 7.10.2. On my Mac I have 6.8.9. Everything works and syncs vial a Primary Vault using iCloud.
So I've gone on the Apple App Store on my Mac and I can only find 1Password 7. I've gone on the App store on my iPhone and I see under 'whats new' "Version 8.10.38". This all confuses me....
I've also identified that I can sign up and download 1Password 8 form the 1 Password Website.
So what do I do? Do I start on my iPhone or do I start on my Mac? Also, the pricing is different depending on which way I sign up?!? The family plan via the iPhone family plan is $6.99 monthy. On 1Password.com its $4.99... The individual plans differ in price too. WHY?
I want to do this, need to do this but really need/want a little hand holding.
Should I start on 1Passwords Website using my Mac hoping that then I do it on my phone and it will all just work out? .... or do I start on my iPhone and go there other way. It appears much less expensive starting on my mac... or do I have to pay a monthy fee for the mac and a different monthly fee for the iPhone?
Confused... would really appreciate anyone to take pity on me and help.
