Can't turn off prompt from "Apple Passwords"

I have been using 1Password for years and recently added the new Apple Password app to my Mac. That was a mistake as it is nowhere as good as 1Password, but now I can't get the Apple app to go away and it covers up 1Password, even with 1Cloud passwords turned off. Any idea how I can get rid of Apple Passwords, to at least disable it? Thanks.

I use Safari and 1P for years. None of these suggestions work for me. Any further information? macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 Safari 18.1.1
Thanks.

@axiom7

I'm sorry that you're running into trouble when using 1Password in Safari. To help me better understand the situation I'd like to ask you to take a screenshot of what you're seeing and attach it to your reply:

Make sure that there isn't anything sensitive visible in your screenshot.

Hi Dave. Unfortunately I'm on the road right now and away from my MacBook. I'll send a screenshot when I get home.
