can you scan passkey on another device to login?

Signing in to a 1Password account using a passkey is only available for test accounts that are created as part of our public beta: Unlock 1Password with a passkey (beta)

If you're trying to sign into a 1Password account protected by an account password and Secret Key using the new sign in experience then you can find the scan code option in the 1Password for iOS app here:

1. Open and unlock 1Password on your iPhone.
2. Tap the icon for your account or collection at the top left and choose Scan QR Code.

Yeah, so I am referring to signing into a service. Say Amazon and says sign in with passkey. And presents a QR code you can scan (say with another device) to authorize the login. I thought that process was part of passkey spec that effectively you can sign on another device that isn’t yours via QR code.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Yes, you can scan that QR code using the camera app on your iPhone or iPad. You'll want to first make sure that AutoFill is setup: Set up Autofill

Once you open the camera app on your iPhone or iPad, you'll see a notification asking you if you'd like to use 1Password to sign in. Tap on the notification and follow the prompts to sign in using a passkey saved in 1Password. 🙂
