Cannot create passkey for existing login item

I have logged in to my account at privacy.com. It prompts me to create a passkey for authentication. I try to go through the workflow, but 1Password will NOT allow me to update my existing Login item for this account. It only offers to create a new item. I do not want two items in my vault for the same account. In my github.com entry in 1Password, I have a passkey stored with all of the other credential types. This is what I want to do in this case, and all cases for sites that offer passkeys.

Why won't 1Password allow me to update my existing login item to add the passkey?

should have included this is using the Chrome 1password extension. Same version as the native 1password client. Have tried to do it in main browser and in incognito. Same result.

Thanks for the question! Make sure that your original Login item for Privacy.com contains the same website address as the page that you're trying to save the passkey on.

If you've already checked that then what website address do you see in the new item created when you save a passkey? Does it match the website address in the original item?
