Capital one site logon issues - unable to log in

I have a capital one shopping extension on Chrome, which is the browser I use most often.  1Password automatically fills in the password for it when I reach a capital one site.  I also have a Discover credit card account that was just bought by Capital one - and I am now led to log onto a Capital One site when I am trying to access my Discover account.  But the previous entry for the capitaloneshopping is blocking my ability to log into my Discover account now.  I tried creating a new log in but it is confusing them and I am getting locked out of both.

Any workarounds or fixes?

Hi @pattischu,

1Password in your browser will suggest filling Login items based on the URL that is saved in their “website” fields. From what you’ve described, it sounds like the URL for the sign-in page may have changed to a Capital One sign-in page.

If you look in your Login item for your Discover card account, does it have the correct URL saved in its “website” field, corresponding to the current sign-in page? If not, could you try editing the item to have the correct URL, then see if it’s suggested correctly?

Since it sounds like both accounts use the same sign-in page, you should then see both Login items suggested for filling, and can choose the correct one based on what account you’re trying to sign in to.

They don’t use the same sign in page.  1Password is seeing “Capital one” and treating them the same but they are not.  very frustrating.
