Category Useage
There are many discussions on category usage, and I couldn't find the best place to drop my thoughts - hence a new discussion.
Info:
Mobile = Android (App)
PC = Windows 11 (Chrome plugin, and Desktop App)
Categories are nice. It's a much better filter than creating tags for everything IMO. My problems is this - let me give an example.
Scenario -
You are a Home Depot DIY'er. You have an online shopping account (username, password, website), you like 0% interest on big projects so you have an HD Credit Card (Number, CVV, expiration, etc), and now that you have the CC you also have an online account to the financial institution (username, password, website) so that you can pay your bill - you know, cause you're a responsible adult.
So now to capture all of this in 1PW and take advantage of the categories you'd have to create the following:
1) 1 x Login type - for the online shopping account
2) 1 x Credit Card type - for the credit card info
3) 1 x Login type - for the online financial instituation account
The problem is... 3 items in my 1PW. It's kind of annoying.
If I put the CC info on the CC Website login item and delete the CC entry, now it doesn't show up under the Credit Card category. Hmmm...
If I put the website, username, and password on the CC item and delete the online financial institution entry, then then there's no "Open & Fill" option. OK, no big deal, I can click the URL from the searched item. Well wait, now I can't Autofill the username and password - SMH
I can live with having the HD online (shopping) account remaining as a separate item, but to separate the CC Website Login and the Credit Card item is a bit of an annoyance.
Yes, I know I can link related items, but that's not my (personal) goal. Less is more, and organization is key.
Anyone have any examples on how they are handling the above type scenarios for themselves?
