I cannot login on the web or on the pc or mobile. I have a secret key and I generated a recovery code but it doesnt let me use it "recent attempt was cancelled".

On my PC it is asking me to enter my password but it doesnt take it. I assume it will log me out soon. On the web it logged me out.

How do I login? I have my recovery code and secret key.

Hi @tokyo14ab,

Since I don't have access to your account information here on the public community page, I recommend sending an email to support@1Password.com so that our support team can take a look and advise further. After emailing in, you'll receive an auto-reply from our support system with a Support ID that looks something like [123456]. Post that here, and I'll be able to locate your message and make sure it's gotten to the right place.

I did, and the form letter response from them was appalling..

@tokyo14ab Thank you for sharing the Support ID. I’m happy that you were able to successfully recover access to your 1Password account.

At this point I would like to request that the message "recent attempt was cancelled" when using a recovery key be expanded to provide more guidance as to why recovery keys can be rejected and what to do in this situation.

Thank you for the feedback! While we intentionally don't provide more specific messaging around recovery code attempts in order to avoid revealing information that could be useful to attackers, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I'll pass your feedback along to the team internally. For now, you can find our guidance for recovery codes here

If you have any other questions then please reply to the support ticket that you mentioned and our team will be happy to help further.
