Chrome Autofill on Verizon website redirects to "Forgot Password"

Using the Chrome extension, trying to sign into Verizon (https://secure.verizon.com/signin) somehow redirects to the "Forgot password" page (https://secure.verizon.com/account/forgot-password/start) instead of logging in.

Chrome 148.0.7778.5 (Official Build) beta (arm64), 1Password browser extension version 8.12.10.36, macOS 26.4.1 (25E253)

Hi @themacguffinman thanks for reaching out.

I did some testing on my end and I was able to replicate the behaviour you mentioned. It looks like 1Password's auto-submit feature is the culprit here and so I've added you as an affected user to an internal report we have for this issue.

While I can't guarantee a timeline for a fix to be implemented, you can make sure you have access to any new features or fixes as soon as they're available by making sure you have 1Password set to update automatically. You can also check out our releases page for any updates across all of our platforms:

In the meantime, you can turn off auto-submit for this specific item with the following steps:

  1. Click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar.
  2. Search for the login item.
  3. Click the three vertical dots in the top right of the window and choose Don't sign in automatically.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any questions.

I'm reporting that I am also encountering this issue in the Firefox browser version: 149.0.2. I was successful logging on using the workaround

Thank you, turning off auto-submit for just this item is the workaround I was looking for.

Same problem here ... seems to have cropped up in the last month. Chrome Version 147.0.7727.103 (Official Build) (64-bit), 1Password for Windows 8.12.10, 1P browser extension 8.12.12.44.

Ditto, same problem here. Recent, but can't say how long ago it started. Quite frustrating, took me a while to figure out that was what was happening. Please add me to the IP list as well.

Hi @dayjohn and @DoctorBrown,

Thank you for reporting that you're both experiencing the issue as well. I've added your reports to our internal tracker.
