I would like to raise this issue again. 9 months has gone and no fix for this annoying behavior that affect so many users for so many times per day.

Hello @jinwai! 👋

I'm sorry that this issue is interrupting your workflow. I've taken a look and I see that the internal work item for the issue is still open in our development team's backlog, I've let them know that you'd like to see this fixed as soon as possible.

For the time being, when you press Command-F and the search field isn't highlighted, you can then press Command-A to highlight the search field and then start typing your new search term to erase the previous search term.

Hi

Hopefully they can fix it ASAP.

I know Command-A can highlight the search field, but when you are used to the workflow of other apps, such as Safari and many others, when you press Command+F, all apps automatically highlight search field. 1Password should follow the norm. Your mind is hard to think twice and slowdown specifically for 1Password.

Thank you.
